This past March, Q Productions Las Vegas brought Photon Krew to Mandalay Bay for a high-profile corporate event for Google—and used the opportunity to debut a newly designed performance that pushed the boundaries of synchronization between live talent and digital media.
The concept was simple in idea but complex in execution: create a fully integrated experience where LED performers, live percussion, and large-scale screen content function as a single, unified show.
A New Evolution of the Photon Krew Experience
For this event, we expanded the traditional Photon Krew format by incorporating Photon Drums, adding a powerful rhythmic layer that elevated both the visual and sonic impact of the performance. The drums didn’t just accompany the dancers—they became part of the storytelling, reinforcing each beat and visual cue.
At the same time, our team developed custom computer graphics specifically designed to be played across the venue’s LED screens. These visuals were not treated as background elements, but as active participants in the show—interacting with the performers and enhancing the overall immersion.
Precision in Every Detail
What made this performance stand out was the level of synchronization achieved across all elements.
The LED suits, drum hits, choreography, music, and on-screen visuals were all programmed and timed to align perfectly—creating a seamless experience where every moment felt intentional. The result was a production executed with what can only be described as military-level precision, where nothing was left to chance.
This level of integration requires not only strong creative direction, but also deep technical coordination between departments—something that has become a hallmark of how Q Productions approaches modern corporate entertainment.
The Creative Team Behind the Performance
Bringing a show like this to life requires a collaborative effort across multiple disciplines:
Kelly Hamilton, Creative Director and Vice President of Q Productions Las Vegas, led the light suit programming, ensuring that every visual cue from the performers matched the timing and tone of the production.
Fernando Quevedo, President and Show Creator, composed and produced the music, creating a custom arrangement inspired by AC/DC’s iconic Thunderstruck. The track was reimagined to support the pacing, dynamics, and visual beats of the performance.
Adolfo Barreto, choreographer, crafted movement that not only showcased the dancers’ energy and precision but also aligned perfectly with both the music and the visual programming.
Together, this team created a performance that was not just entertaining, but tightly engineered from start to finish.
A Response That Speaks for Itself
The audience response was immediate and enthusiastic. From the opening moments to the final hit, the performance captured attention and maintained a high level of energy throughout—an essential goal for any corporate event opening or general session.
Moments like these reinforce the value of investing in experiences that are not only visually striking, but also thoughtfully designed and executed.
Where Live Performance Meets Technology
As events continue to evolve, so does the expectation for entertainment that feels modern, immersive, and aligned with a company’s brand and message.
This performance for Google is a clear example of what is possible when live talent, original music, custom visuals, and technical precision come together under one unified vision.
Photon Krew continues to evolve as a platform—adapting to each client, each venue, and each opportunity to create something new.
